Answered: How do I fix a allocation to a missing order ?

You can run MWS980. This program fixes many Item / Warehouse allocation issues by syncing the information in several tables.

Checks:

The allocated quantities in transaction files and stock balance files are synchronized with each other for a specific combination of item and warehouse.

The records in the Material Plan are synchronized against order lines quantities and dates. All types of order categories are included in the check.

If an error is detected, the item/warehouse combination is recorded in a message file.

This routine is used to repair mismatches for allocation, inventory, and planning data in the database.
How to bind data from two data services to the separate text boxes of a 'form widget' ?

There is a way to bind two data services to the 'form widget' text boxes, but not loading data into them properly. Ex: There is a main grid (APS100) and a list widget, once clicked on the record of the main grid, a data(Supplier no) should be bound to one text box of the 'Form Widget'; once clicked on the list widget, a data(PID) should be bound to another text box in the same form widget.

Answered: Authorization issues when used in MEC

When executing API's CMS100MI, MDBREADMI and EXPORTMI transactions, M3 BE security is used to check if the MEC user (MECSVC) is authorized to access a table.

For each table there is a Browse program connected to it(MNS120). The security that has been setup for this specific Browse program will be checked when executing the MI transaction.

1. In 'Function. Open' (MNS110) check if parameter 'Authority required' is enabled for the Browse program (Function).

2. If 'Authority required' is enabled it requires that there is a record in 'Function. Connect Authorization per Role' (SES400) for this function.

3. The MEC user must be connected to the Role for this record in SES400 to get permission to access this. (MNS410)

4. User permissions to programs/functions can be viewed in 'Authorization by User. Display' (SES401).

5. Also verify in 'User. Access per Company & Division' (MNS151) that the user has access to the correct companies and divisions.

Answered: Missing M3 Enterprise Search

You need to update the table indexes by recrawling the database

1 Select Administration Tools > M3 Function Search Administration.
2 Select the Index check boxes for the relevant tables.
3 Click Deactivate or Activate tables to update the indexes. Activate crawls the selected tables.
Note: Updating several indexes can be a time-consuming process, depending on the size of the
tables. You can crawl up to 10 tables simultaneously.
4 Click Refresh to show the latest status. You can do this while a crawl is ongoing.

This error message could appears if there is a table that has no search index in the IES Administration in 'M3 Related Tables. Connect'(CMS011) too. In that case the error message is misleading.

The recommendation is NOT to use search in related tables as a generic solution, but rather define a key search where the related table is part of it.
The reason for this is the "unpredictable search result" due to hits in the related tables. To remove the related search information use related option 22 in CMS011.
Answered: Authorization issues when used in MEC

	From Infor Support

When executing API's CMS100MI, MDBREADMI and EXPORTMI transactions, M3 BE security is used to check if the MEC user (MECSVC) is authorized to retrieve data from this particular table.

The above API transactions are all based on a specific table. For CMS100MI the (Master) table can be found in CMS010 or CMS015. For MDBREADMI the table is included in the transaction name and for EXPORTMI, the table is the one you enter in the SQRY parameter.

For each table there is a Browse program connected to it which can be found in 'Table. Open' (MNS120).

That is done in 'Roles per User. Connect' (MNS410).

	4. User permissions to programs/functions can be viewed in 'Authorization by User. Display' (SES401).

Answered: How do I use JSON Path / XPATH in and IONAPI Connection?

So, in April 2021, Infor broken the Path Logic in API Flows, and instead of fixing it, the just removed it. The new format only returns the body, but you can put JPath in the Results. The the IONAPI to return the body into a named variable, then you can use the JPATH after it. Shown below.

{"WHSE":"${input.WHSE}",
"ITNO":"${input.ITNO}",
"AVTQ":"${M3-GetATP.Body}.results[0].records[0].AVTQ",
"UNMS": "${M3-GetATP.Body}.results[0].records[0].UNMS"}
}

Answered: What is the format for a Custom BOD zipfile?

You have to create a very specific zip file format.

Create a Folder with the noun of the BOD

Create in that Folder a folder called "BOD"

Create another Folder with the noun of the BOD

In that folder, create two files:
NounName.xml
NounName.xsd

The XML contains the metadata for the BOD

The XSD contains the noun schema

Answered: Can I call IDM from a public service?

I took an hour today to dig into IDM to see if I could setup public anonymous access.

You can’t access IDM without a login, and the API calls to get a token, then to get information about the files, then to actually pull the file cause an issue for something like a website wanting to display images in a catalog. I had pulled the links generated by IDM in an API call hoping to use them to push to publish, but they seemed to expire after a certain period of time as was discovered when I shared the links.

Answered: How do I repush all BODs for a Master Table?

M3 CE Core: M3BODs Initial Load must use EVS006
The initial load for M3BODs was from the start only available through the M3 program ‘Initial Load.Start’(EVS005). This featured a basic, crude functionality which allowed for publishing only Show BODs and with little possibility to select what records to publish.

A new process for running initial load for M3BODs was introduced in October 2018, see KB 2013262 / NCR 10284, and April 2019, see KB 2046631 / NCR 10797. The new process is run from the M3 program ‘Initial Load. Open’ (EVS006), and features possibility to trigger either Show or Sync BODs, as well as enhanced selection criteria to decide what M3 records to publish.

Since the release, it has been possible to use either (EVS005) or (EVS006) to do an initial load for M3BODs. With this disruptive change, it will only be possible to use (EVS006).
Note The program (EVS005) will not be removed from M3 Business Engine, it will still be available to use for triggering events from an M3 table. It will just no longer be used by M3BODs to trigger an initial load of Show BODs.

Reason for the change:
The initial load using (EVS006) provides functionality to better filter what records to be published, and also functionality to publish either Show or Sync BODs.

Result of the change:
Initial load of M3BODs can only be done using (EVS006). Event Analytics Rules session 'M3BODs_InitialLoad' is removed. (Session 'M3BODs_InitialLoad' included rules for initial load from (EVS005). Rules for initial load from (EVS006) are still located in respective nouns session.)

Answered: Error calling ION API request from H5 SDK

The Infor grid that is used on-prem (version 1.13 ) does not have support for getting the ION API token. We have requested that they push it down to older verions but this is new functionality and that request was turned down years ago, so it's not possible to call ION API from the H5 SDK.

You can only call IDM (since that is what was previously supported) if you have the IDM proxy installed and confugured.

This means that ION API calls from H5 SDK is not supported for On-prem M3. It is only supported in the Cloud Edition.

Answered: How does information from M3 process into ION?

The BOD outbound data flow is based on events. An event represents predefined data. The Event Hub is the central place where all events are directed to its subscribers. M3 Foundation events can be based on program or table operators: Start, Exit, Fail, Create, Update, Delete, Request, or Response.

Events that trigger M3 BODs are based on table changes.

Answered: Initial Data Load from M3 to ION

		Sending the initial data load

During normal processing, BODs are published when a user changes data or completes a transaction. However, when you start a new integration with another application, you must manually generate BODs that pass the current set of data from M3 to the other application, so that the base systems are synchronized. The BODs are placed in the message outbox, from which Infor ION retrieves them and passes them to the other application.

To perform the initial load of M3 data into the BODs that are placed in the message outbox:

1 Take note of the name of the master table for the applicable BOD. See Master tables for initial load on page 111.

2 In M3, open ‘Initial Load.Start’ (EVS005). If Smart Office is used, then specify MFORMS://EVS005, else specify EVS005. The H5 client is the assumed user interface.

3 In Table, specify the master table name, for example MITMAS, to trigger M3BE_Out_ShowItemMaster.

4 In Division, specify the division of the events if applicable. Note that the Division parameter only works if the Division field (DIVI) is a field in the primary key of the table that is specified inTable.

5 Optionally, in From date and To date, specify the registration date range for the data that is to be triggered. Note: The initial loading for large tables takes a long time. You should run only one table a time. You must ensure that there are sufficient resources available in the system at the time of the initial load.

6 Leave the Max no. lines, Search query and Key field fields blank. They are not applicable when sending initial data. Click Next.

Note: For testing purposes, you can limit the number of lines. In the live initial-load scenario, leave the field blank to obtain the full amount of data. The M3BE_Out_Show[Noun Mapping] BOD is triggered. After the initial data load, M3 sends BOD updates when users change certain data or when certain transactions occur in M3.

For a list of the events that generate BODs, see Business events that generate outbound BODs on page 94.

Answered: Why is Smart Office rendering blank dialogs?

I've seen problems with blank dialog boxes in a couple of instances. One was running in a VMWare Client after a Windows update, and the other was on a laptop running an Intel integrated video card.

From my research, it appears to be a problem with the WPF Hardware Acceleration. The only way I've found to fix the issue is to disable it for WPF applications. The settings can be created or modified by accessing the values directly by using the Windows Registry Editor.

			Disable Hardware Acceleration Option

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Avalon.Graphics\DisableHWAcceleration

The disable hardware acceleration option enables you to turn off hardware acceleration for debugging and test purposes. When you see rendering artifacts in an application, try turning off hardware acceleration. If the artifact disappears, the problem might be with your video driver.

The disable hardware acceleration option is a DWORD value that is either 0 or 1. A value of 1 disables hardware acceleration. A value of 0 enables hardware acceleration, provided the system meets hardware acceleration requirements; for more information, see reference page from Microsoft below.

Answered: Why do my M3 Automation Scripts stop working after 13.1?

I was able to reproduce the failure in a 15.1.4 MCP2 environment, I was getting the same “Failed to comply with request” message. It appears after 13.2 that the engine is expecting encoded URLs like are used in H5. Perhaps they made an update on the backend of M3, who knows, my searches didn’t reveal anything in the release notes on Infor Extreme. I have tested the scripts below and they work in the new version.

		Panel B Encoded:

mforms://automation?data=%3c%3fxml+version%3d%221.0%22+encoding%3d%22utf-8%22%3f%3e%3csequence%3e%3cstep+command%3d%22RUN%22+value%3d%22PPS170%22+%2f%3e%3cstep+command%3d%22KEY%22+value%3d%22F13%22+%2f%3e%3cstep+command%3d%22KEY%22+value%3d%22ENTER%22%3e%3cfield+name%3d%22WWSPIC%22%3eB%3c%2ffield%3e%3c%2fstep%3e%3c%2fsequence%3e

		Panel A Encoded:

mforms://automation?data=%3c%3fxml+version%3d%221.0%22+encoding%3d%22utf-8%22%3f%3e%3csequence%3e%3cstep+command%3d%22RUN%22+value%3d%22PPS170%22+%2f%3e%3cstep+command%3d%22KEY%22+value%3d%22F13%22+%2f%3e%3cstep+command%3d%22KEY%22+value%3d%22ENTER%22%3e%3cfield+name%3d%22WWSPIC%22%3eA%3c%2ffield%3e%3c%2fstep%3e%3c%2fsequence%3e

Answered: Why is my multi-threaded API call not running in Parallel?

Rest Sharp and related libraries have a default limit of two connections, to override, use the code below.

System.Net.ServicePointManager.DefaultConnectionLimit = x

(where x is your desired number of connections)

		No need for extra references

Just make sure this is called BEFORE the service point is created as mentioned above in the post.
